Last March 29 (Tuesday), Wakay Air landed at Basco, Batanes using the 48 seater ATR 42-600 turboprop.
Reservations are now available through Batanes Wakay Travel & Tours Inc., (sales@wakaytours.com). Fights cost about Php.7-8,000 one way but tour packages can minimize some costs.
Currently, Basco (Batanes) is served by two airlines direct from Manila. Wakay Air’s entry will provide more opportunities for tourists to experience Ivatan culture and hospitality.
